Ocean Pacific Marine is the largest marine store and boatyard on the North Island, providing parts and service to recreational boaters and commercial vessels in the Campbell River area since 1985.

Position description:

Marine Technician should have a well rounded knowledge of all marine related mechanical systems. These would include troubleshooting, repairs and installations. The scope of work includes the refit and repairs of vessel systems: heating and steering systems, all running gear components, engine alignment, pumping and thru hulls. AC DC electrical, engine control systems including complete electrical system from bow to stern. (Stabilizers, thrusters, heaters, chargers, inverters) with work ranging from troubleshooting, repairs and installs to complex modifications. The successful candidate must be willing and able to cope with a busy often fast changing environment. Certification as a Marine Mechanical Technician, Heavy Duty Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic would be an asset.

This is a full time, Monday-Friday position.

Compensation: Hourly with Medical and Dental benefits.
